The FX-Control software (from version 2.62) features comprehensive sequencing, result logging and reporting capabilities to establish customized test procedures. No programming capabilities are required, as all features are accessible through the graphical user interface.

NTi Audio has created a two-part video series showing how to design a customized procedure for testing a wireless audio device. The first part dealt with the setup of the sequence and user interaction. This second part demonstrates how to customize data logging and produce graphical test reports, using a Microsoft Word template.

The new M2230 measurement microphone extends the top end of the NTi Audio range of measurement microphones. Its specifications comply fully with IEC 61672 and fulfill all class 1 requirements. The microphone features a very low residual noise floor of 16 dB(A) and supports precise and linear measurements up to a maximum of 139 dB.

The M2230 comprises of the microphone preamplifier MA220 and the omni-directional ½” electret capsule MC230 with metal diaphragm and a standard UNS60 thread. The preamplifier is equipped with an electronic datasheet containing the calibration parameter of the microphone. When the microphone is connected to an XL2 analyzer, the Automatic Sensor Detection (ASD) reads this datasheet and automatically sets the correct sensitivity value within the XL2. Each microphone is individually calibrated and delivered with its frequency response chart.
