The XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer has been extended with Scheduler and Event functions, reducing the stored data volume for long-term measurements and simplifying data post-processing.
The Scheduler is a powerful functional extension to the basic firmware allowing the XL2 to start measurements and log repeated events such as daily club noise monitoring at predefined hours during the day or night. With this mode activated, the XL2 automatically starts up at the predefined time, conducts and stores the measurements, and switches back to idle mode. Time intervals between measurements can be defined from seconds to days.
The Event function is triggered either by external hardware inputs from the XL2 Input Keypad or by programmable level thresholds. Once an event is triggered, the XL2 logs measurement data and calculates the LEQ over the event period. In parallel, an audio WAV file may be recorded for a selectable period of time. The Event function is available with the optional Extended Acoustic Pack.
The Scheduler and Event functions are supported with the new firmware V2.32, which is freely available to all registered customers.

NTi Audio’s flagship audio analyzer FLEXUS FX100 offers an astonishingly fast, yet accurate Glide-Sweep measurement technique. The Glide-Sweep, also known as Farina Sweep, continuously increases the frequency at a logarithmic rate. The duration of the sweep, and thus the test time can be chosen by the user. Test times can be as low as 100ms for certain applications, still covering the entire Audio band.
Along with the high speed, the FX100 accurately delivers all important audio parameters (Level, THD and Harmonic Distortions, Phase, Steepness, etc.), in parallel, on up to four channels. The FX100 is able to simultaneously generate and analyze a Glide-Sweep, making it the ideal choice for rapid testing of loudspeakers, microphones, amplifiers, mixers and virtually all audio devices. Also for testing playback devices with no audio input like MP3 players, tablet computers or smartphones, the FX100 quickly analyses a Glide-Sweep that is played by the device itself.
Unlike other audio measurement systems, the Glide-Sweep technology comes as a standard feature in NTi Audio’s FLEXUS FX100 at no additional cost. For more information on the FLEXUS FX100, visit www.nti-audio.com/FX100 |
